SCFD

In 1988, voters in the Dever metro area created the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) to provide a consistent source of unrestricted funding to scientific and cultural organizations. Since then, the SCFD has funded over 300 organizations via the 0.1% retail sales and use tax (one penny on every $10). Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson are the seven counties that comprise the district.

The Colorado Trust

The Colorado Trust was established in 1985 as a grantmaking foundation with the proceeds of the sale of PSL Healthcare Corporation. The Trust manages substantially all of its grantmaking by an initiative process. Their grantmaking is strategically focused on specific issues, namely advancing the health and well-being of the people of Colorado.
