AIM MISSION |
AIM's mission is to provide high quality, professionally
conducted music classes and private lessons. AIM offers its students the
use of recording and performance facilities and opportunities to attend
masterclasses and workshops. |
AIM ATTENDANCE POLICY |
| Tuition for all lessons is paid in advance either at the beginning of each semester (5% discount if paid in one payment) or in four or five equal installments. (Families paying for two semesters at one time receive a 10% discount.)Instructors are not required to offer make-up lessons that a student misses; please discuss with your individual teacher any make-up policies that may apply to special circumstances such as adverse weather conditions or illness. Teachers who miss lessons due to conferences or illness will reschedule lessons. Two unexcused absences from scheduled lessons, ensembles, or certain classes are grounds for student dismissal. Frequent tardiness, demonstrated lack of interest, and behavioral problems are also grounds for dismissal. |
OTHER AIM POLICIES |
| Registration obligates a student to fulfill an entire semester of lessons. Notice of withdrawal must be made in writing to the AIM Director. Lapsed attendance from lessons/classes does not excuse a student from his/her financial obligation. If for any reason the lessons are terminated, lessons to the termination date plus a termination fee equal to four lessons must be paid. |
CONTRIBUTING TO THE AUGUSTANA
INSTITUTE OF MUSIC |
| AIM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community music school, as a program of Augustana Arts. To serve the community and honor our mission, AIM has many reasons and many needs to search for financial contributions through direct gifts and grants. One of AIM's goals is to increase the number of faculty in the highest areas of demand, including Suzuki-based lessons. We have an outstanding faculty, many of whom contribute time and efforts far beyond what could be expected of part-time, teachers. Professionals work in our school because they believe high quality music instruction and participation in music making is an essential part of our society. AIM also wants to make scholarships available so that everyone may take advantage of the benefits music has to offer. If you are interested in making a tax deductible donation to AIM, please e-mail Alfred Born or Donald Tallman at AlfredBorn@AugustanaArts.org or Donald@AugustanaArts.org respectively. |
