The Story Behind the Octavepus Music Stand

by Lexi Richey

So you got wrapped up in the tentacles of the Octavepus Music Stand and want to know more!? Well, let me tell ya the tale…

The octopus is made of Papier-mâchéd recycled music sheets, newspaper, tinfoil & wire. The acrylic turquoise & gold painted cephalopod reaches its tentacles around the stand covered in music sheets from a beginners children's music book.

As it's tentacles make their way towards the whimsical treasure map that swim on the notes of Beethoven's Für Elise music sheets, you may find yourself on the island of TorTuba, splashing in Choir Reef or hiking up the Mandolin Mountains.

This nautical scene paints a picture what a treasure it is to find the arts in one's life, get lost in the sea of music and play amongst the ocean of octaves.
