You Can Help Make Music Around Denver.

In early April, during a Music Encounters lesson in a west Denver classroom, Camila bravely raised her hand. “Can I perform the song for my friends, teacher?” After a nod from her teacher, Camila picked up her ukulele and started playing and singing Stand by Me, the classic 1960s song:

Camila and her class had started learning ukulele just two and a half months before this video, and here she was, excitedly performing for her classmates – slowly finding the right chords with her fingers and singing confidently along with her instrument. In Music Encounters classes this winter, Camila had learned more than just how to play ukulele: she found a true and natural talent in herself. She found a passion and an interest that she’ll be able to carry with her for the rest of her life. She became a musician.

This spring, as we get ready for a new season of programming, we need your help.

Our goal is to raise $8,000 by June 30th so that we can enter our next season of concerts and educational programming well equipped to bring accessible and inclusive experiences to all members of our community.

Will you donate to Augustana Arts this spring to help create transformative musical experiences for adults and children around Denver?
