What better place to experience Bach's Coffee Cantata than in a coffee shop? Join us at Table Public House for a delightful morning of music, storytelling, and caffeine-inspired comedy as three vocal soloists and instrumentalists bring this charming masterpiece to life in a semi-staged performance.
Written by Johann Sebastian Bach as a playful ode to coffee obsession, the Coffee Cantata follows a spirited young woman whose love of coffee puts her at odds with her father. Performed in the warm, intimate atmosphere of a neighborhood café, the work feels as fresh, witty, and relatable today as it did nearly 300 years ago. We will be performing the work in English.
The program also features additional vocal and instrumental selections performed by the same outstanding artists, creating a relaxed and engaging musical experience that blurs the line between concert and gathering. Grab a drink, settle in, and enjoy a one-of-a-kind event where the setting is as perfectly matched to the music as the coffee is to the cup.
