Mozart Reimagined - Stratus Chamber Orchestra & St. Martin's Chamber Choir

  • Augustana Arts 5000 East Alameda Avenue Denver, CO, 80246 United States (map)

Experience Mozart from a fresh perspective in a program that bridges centuries of musical inspiration. Stratus Chamber Orchestra and St. Martin's Chamber Choir come together for an evening of remarkable artistry, pairing beloved classical traditions with powerful modern voices.

The program opens with Reynaldo Hahn's elegant Overture to Mozart and continues with the luminous beauty of Arvo Pärt's Cecilia, vergine romana. The centerpiece of the evening is Mozart's Davidde Penitente, a rarely performed masterwork for choir, soloists, and orchestra that repurposes familiar music from his famed Mass in C Minor.

Most exciting of all, this performance is believed to be the Colorado premiere of Davide Penitente, offering audiences a rare opportunity to hear a significant Mozart work that has never before been presented in the state.

  • Mozart: Overture by Reynaldo Hahn - (5 minutes)

  • Cecilia, vergine romana by Arvo Pärt (16 min.)

  • Davidde Penitente by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (45 min.)
